Reloading of a knowledge source

When you reload a knowledge source, CogTL recreates a knowledge graph from the imported data, and merges it with the existing data that was previously known by the same source.

However, if for any reason, technical failure or misconfiguration, the new graph is much smaller than the existing one (the limit is arbitrary placed at half the size), i.e. if more than half of the objects known by this source could be deleted, CogTL stops the import, as a fail-safe control.

If you are certain that this drastic reduction of data is expected, you can check the checkbox Turn OFF safe mode for full reload and manually start the reloading of the source(s) that you want to refresh using the "play" icon in the list. CogTL will then load the data and perform the mass deletion of unneeded entities/relations, if they are not anymore bound to any knowledge source.
